So a couple of weekends ago I made a little road trip to way West Texas! First I went to my friends Angela's in Ozona spent the night, then went on to my other friends Ashley's in Crane and then sunday I had these family pics and Monahans Cross Country pics! There were some great places around Monahans that we took fam pics at and then the CC pics we took at the Sand Hills National Park. Very different and fun! Those pics to come soon! anywho......after finishing the CC pics right at dark, I headed back home, did not get home till late, late! but that is what i do...i love road trips!!

Lone Star Music Fest!

I have been having so much fun this year! I have been taking pics for KDCD 92.9 and 106.1 at a lot of their events and concerts! Music Fest was great with some bad ass bands! Here are just a few of my faves!

A little inspiring Rave!

So....a lady from my home town sent me this message the other day on facebook and thought that I would share it with yall!

"starla, I was just skimming thru fb and clicked on the ortiz wedding photos...I don't even know these people but your photos made me part of their lives for a moment in time...there were several pics that showed the joy and love of family at a happy occasion...my dear, you are very talented and if life ever gets hard and you think of giving up photography...call me...I'll tell you why you can't!!!"

It touched my heart! I am the kind of person that needs to hear these kind of messages! I always get frustrated with myself, trying to make myself better as a person and a photographer and messages like this lifts my spirits!
